: On the banks of the river Yévre, installed in an old
gravel-pit, the lake is fed by springs which ensure a great stability of temperature throughout the year.
The lake never freezes and even during cold weather if you are well equipped, you can make beautiful catches.
The trouts first were first
introduced in 1992, making of this reservoir, one of the oldest
dedicated flyfishing site.
The trout population is carefully selected to ensure
permanently the presence of a significant quantity of combative
fish |
|
There are in fact three basins,
the first connected to the second by a passage which one can use in
wader, and which is very
appreciated by trouts in summer, the second one,
deeper, shelters most of the trouts and is perfect
for fishing in a float
tube, the third one is were the largest fishes congregate. In most
part the water depth is of approximately 5m and getting deeper in some area.
