Pitzen
Knot: Created by
E.Pitzenbauer, this is
equivalent to the Duncan, but it is easier to tie as there is no
wraps inside a loop. ( It is sometimes called the sixteen-twenty
knot)
Pass 15cm through the hook eye, bring the tag end BL to the hook, take the
strands in P with the left hand
With the BL, make 3 wraps around the loop A-P.
Pass the tag end BL inside the loop in P.
Lubricate and close the knot on the standing line BF by pulling on the tag end BL.
Then close the knot on the hook eye by pulling on the standing line BF.
This knot keeps 95% of the line
breaking strength.
